The 2012 Asian Women’s Volleyball Championships official opened in Quang Ninh province on Apr. 26.

The competition has attracted 13 teams from Thailand , China , Kazakhstan , Laos , Vietnam , Japan and Malaysia.

The contest was jointly organised by Quang Ninh’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnam Volleyball Federation and Au Lac Co. Ltd.

Commentators say that Asian Women’s Volleyball is very high quality so the contest should be more competitive than last year.
