“Team Vietnam” consisted of the best amateur players selected from primary schools in Hanoi. And “team EU” is a group of skillful young players from the Hanoi-based French School (Lycée Francais Alexandre Yersin) and the United Nations International Shool (UNIS).
The exciting game attracted thousands of young and older fans and was reported by the Vietnam Television.

The two performances will feature the Italian opera “Pagliacci”, performed by the renowned British opera singer Gillian Humphries, with accompaniment of a chorus composed of members of the Hanoi International Choir, the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet Chorus and the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet Children’s Choir.
* The award ceremony of quiz and picture painting competition “the EU through the eyes of Vietnamese children” will be held by the end of October.
The EC delegation and Children’s newspaper have jointly launched a competition for all children between 7 and 14 years age living in Vietnam in order to appeal to Vietnamese children’s fondness of learning and to their artistic talent.
Participants are encouraged to draw pictures and compete in weekly quizzes about the EU and its members countries. Articles presented in an interesting and children-friendly way published by the Children’s newspaper between early September and mid-October provide general knowledge on the EU, and introduces its main political, economic and cultural characteristics to Vietnam’s young generation.
The contest also stimulates parents and other members of Vietnamese families to participate in the role of supporting partners of their children.
These cultural exchanges will strengthen mutual understanding, and help bridge cultural divides and bring the Vietnamese and European peoples closer together.
