In the framework of the Social Security Programme for the Community, on August 8th, the Ho Chi Minh City Hospital of Odonto-Stomatology coordinated with the Center for People and Army Health in Ly Son district, to provide free health check-ups and medicines for poor people in the district.
During the two-day examination, about 1,000 poor people have been beneficiaries. About 300 people had dental treatment requiring their teeth be extracted or filled. 30 people were provided with artificial teeth and 700 were given health check-ups. About 200 disadvantaged patients received free medicines.
On this occasion, the hospital coordinated with Quang Ngai Association of Fellow-Countrymen to provide 30 scholarships and 15 gifts to policy families and poor people, a gift to Vietnamese heroic mother Tran Thi Phan, a total spend of nearly 200 million VND./.
