    Workshop highlights former President’s revolutionary contributions

    (CPV) – On August 5, on the occasion the 100th birthday of former State Council President Vo Chi Cong, a workshop was held in Tam Ky City, the central province of Quang Nam to highlight his contributions to the revolutionary process.

    Speaking at the workshop, Politburo member and Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Head of the PCC Commission for Popularization and Education Dinh The Huynh, said that the conference was a chance to study more about the glorious revolutionary process and the huge contribution of comrade Vo Chi Cong for the struggle for national liberation and socialism.

    According to the organizing committee, the workshop was a scientific and factual foundation to clarify the glorious and ebullient revolutionary life of comrade Vo Chi Cong through revolutionary periods and through his positions he held, as well as his affection over the nation and his homeland in Quang Nam – Danang.

    The workshop also contributed to popularize the patriotism and the example of revolutionary ethnics for the current generations.

    Earlier, a ceremony was held in Nui Thanh district in the central province of Quang Nam to upgrade and recognize a national memorial site for former State Council President, Vo Chi Cong.

    During the ceremony, Chairman of the Quang Nam provincial People’s Committee Le Phuoc Thanh reviewed the substantial contributions of the former State Council President with the Party, State and people, asking investors and contractors to manage the site with appropriate respect./.
