On May 30, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung received Sudanese Minister of Communication and Information Technology Mohamed Abdelkreem Abdalla Alhad who is on a visit to Vietnam.

Evaluating the results of talks between the Vietnamese Minister of Information and Communication and his Sudanese counterpart, PM Dung stressed that Vietnam attaches great importance to mutually beneficial cooperation with African nations, including Sudan, to boost cooperation at international forums as well as in economics, trade, investment, science & technology and tourism.

The Vietnamese Government is ready to support both sides in effectively implementing cooperation agreements reached by the two ministries, especially in sharing experience and encouraging Vietnamese information and technology (IT) businesses to invest in Sudan.

The Sudanese Minister said his country wants to expand IT cooperation with Vietnam and welcomes Vietnam’s IT groups investing in the country. Sudan is also keen to promote cooperation with Vietnam in agriculture, energy and oil and gas, he added./.
