(CPV) - Vietnam’s Vice Minister of Transport Le Manh Hung and US Ambassador to Vietnam David B. Shear on May 9 kicked off the first meeting of the aviation cooperation working group in Hanoi.

The conference, hosted by the US Embassy in Hanoi, in conjunction with the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, aims to promote aviation industry-wide cooperation between the two nations.

It brings together experts on terminal passenger handling, airport safety, and airport capacity and efficiency from the US Federal Aviation Administration, the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam, and the private sector.

The working group also aims to support the growth of the civil aviation sector by working directly with governments to identify and execute projects that encourage collaboration between the two sides, and provide access to American expertise, technology and best practices./.
