The final round of the 16th Vietnamese Students Football Tournament kicked off in Moscow, Russia, on May 6.

The event commemorates the 37th anniversary of Southern Liberation and National Re-unification Day (April 30), the 58th anniversary of the historic Dien Bien Phu victory (May 7) and the 122nd birthday of late President Ho Chi Minh (May 19).

This year’s tournament drew the participation of 21 teams from various universities in Russia. Sixteen teams are now competing in the final round, which will last until May 27.

The annual event aims to strengthen solidarity and mutual understanding among Vietnamese students and promote the image of Vietnam to Russian friends./.
