    Tourists visiting Hue increase sharply over holiday

    More than 40,600 tourists visited Hue ancient capital from April 28-30 and brought in over 2.3 billion VND, an increase of 50% compared to the same period last year.

    On April 29 alone, more than 16,000 tourists visited Hue relics. This information was released by Director of Hue Ancient Capital Relics Preservation Centre Phan Thanh Hai.

    With the advantage of being located in the centre of the city, with a large space and various sightseeing services, Dai Noi (Royal Palace) is always the leading destination of tourists, followed by the royal tombs of Khai Dinh, Minh Mang and Tu Duc, and the Thien Mu Pagoda.

    Apart from relics, Thua Thien – Hue province also organized a festival named “Thuan An – The Call of the Sea”. Thuan An is a famous entertainment, sightseeing and summer rest destination in Phu Vang district. During the festival, cultural and sports activities such as beach football, boat racing, walking a foot bridge on the sea, a kite festival and art performance s attracted tens of thousands of tourists and local people.

    At the same time, an exhibition themed "Lotus at the beginning of summer" was also held to introduce 59 artworks, of which 56 are paintings and three are sculptures./.
