A ceramics installation titled “The English Flower Garden” by Paul Cummins has opened at Chiswick House until May 27 to kick off the London 2012 Festival.
The installation is made up of a total of 11,500 individually hand-thrown flowers. They are exhibited in front of the venue's Ionic Temple. It is the first in a series of installations to be held across the country.
Six other installations will be held at: The Secret Gardens of Sandwich, Blenheim Palace in Oxford, the Houses of Parliament, Althrop Estate in Northampton, Castle Howard in York and the Southbank Centre until September 17.
