Vietnamese scientist receives French Academy medal

On February 22nd, in central Da Nang City, Professor Science Doctor Bui Van Ga, Rector of Da Nang University, was presented with the French Academy medal by Jean Francois Blarel, French Ambassador to Vietnam.
This prestigious French medal has been presented for longtime to people who have made significant educational and scientific contributions to the country.
During the last several years, the Rector has made important contributions to the cooperation between and development of the universities and the scientific communities of the two countries.
He often gives lectures and does research at some French universities. Besides, he has been actively involved in the establishment and development of high quality engineering programmes in some Vietnamese universities. The programmes mainly focus on training undergraduates, especially in developing French curricular for the association of universities using French.
