    European Union Jazzes up Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City
    CPV: From 28 November to 9 December, the 6th European Jazz Festival is back to stir up the Jazz scene in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. It will offer concerts of unsurpassed diversity and caliber.
    11.7 million euros for health packages for the poor
    CPV: In Hanoi, on July 5, Dr Markus Cornaro, ambassador-head of the delegation of the European Commission (EC) to Vietnam and Mr Klaus Rohland, director of the World Bank in Vietnam, signed an administration agreement for a trust fund of 11,686,500 Euros to put together health packages for poor in the northern uplands and Central Highlands.
    Vietnam to deeply integrate into Asia and Europe
    CPV: The Vietnam Research and Education Network (VinaREN) was successfully connected to the Trans-Eurasia Information Network 2 (TEIN2) during a ceremony held in Ha Long City on June 8 by the Vietnamese Ministry of Science and Technology.

    On February 22nd, in central Da Nang City, Professor Science Doctor Bui Van Ga, Rector of Da Nang University, was presented with the French Academy medal by Jean Francois Blarel, French Ambassador to Vietnam.
    French violist performs in Vietnam
    On February 15th, at the Hanoi opera house, French violist Isabelle Durin and Vietnamese pianist Tran Ngoc Bich successfully performed the “La Havana’s girl” composed by Camille Saint Saens and the chapter 1, 2 and 3 of the Spanish sonatas composed by Edouard Lalo.

    CPV- The opening ceremony of the photographic exhibition titled “ Italy-Vietnam through each other’s eyes” officially opened on October 28th at the national Museum of Fine Arts on the occasion of the week of the Italian culture.
    Friendly football match celebrating 15th anniversary of EU-Vietnam relations
    CPV: Over 9 thousand Vietnamese and European child and adults football fans, on the afternoon of October 15th 2005, gathered in Hang Day stadium to support the football match between the team EU-U13 and team Vietnam-U13.
    Weekly radio programmes on EU-Vietnam relations
    CPV: A series of short weekly radio programmes are being co-produced by the EC delegation and the Radio Voice of Vietnam (VoV). The programmes introduce the European Union, its functioning, policies and global role, as well as its successful bilateral cooperation with Vietnam in politics, economics, trade and culture fields.
    Cultural activities to mark 15th anniversary of Vietnam-EU relations
    CPV: On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of Vietnam-EU relations, established on October 22, 1990, many cultural activities have been organised in Vietnam during October.
    European Commission grants €12 million in support to the renovation of education management in Vietnam
    CPV: Last month, Dr Markus Cornaro, Head of the European Commission Delegation to Vietnam and Mr Nguyen Minh Hien, Minister of Education and Training signed a Financing Agreement to provide €12 million in grant to support the renovation of education management in Vietnam.
    EC funds educational reform project
    The Prime Minister has approved an EU-funded project worth 14.2 million Euro to renew educational management in Vietnam.
