Nearly 50,000 people join seas and islands contest
CPV: Four weeks after the launching of the contest on Vietnamese seas and islands, nearly 50,000 people have participated in the multiple-choice contest, the Organizing Committee reported.
Contest on Vietnam’s seas and islands launched
CPV: The Party Central Committee Commission for Propaganda and Education on March 30 launched a contest on Vietnamese seas and islands, with an aim to further increase the dissemination of information on seas and islands, creating a profound awareness of people on the strategic position of the country’s seas and islands.
Truong Sa islanders to cast ballots on May 13
Soldiers and local people in the Truong Sa island district of central coastal Khanh Hoa province will cast their ballots to elect deputies to the 12th National Assembly on May 13 – a week ahead of schedule. Preparations for the event have been completed and islanders have made every effort to ensure the success of the festive day.
Guards of Truong Sa archipelago turn their hearts to the homeland
A recent visit to Trường Sa (Spratley) archipelago made a strong impression on me. The border-guards there are as enduring and steady as a phong ba birch tree and have a sense of responsibility to the country and the people.
Information on role of seas and islands in national construction and defence be disseminated
In 2005, more information will be distributed on the position, role and potentials of Vietnam’s seas and islands in the national construction and defence, according to a meeting called to review the work in 2004 and decide on orientations for 2005 held in the central province of Binh Thuan on November 23.
